About
I believe in settling our differences in the cinema.
Born and raised in Indonesia, I’ve embraced my country’s national motto, “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” — meaning Unity in Diversity — as a guiding force in my work.
As a film producer, I’ve had the privilege of working on a variety of projects, including documentaries, short films, music videos, and commercials. In 2020, I wrote and directed a short documentary titled “emiliano.” about medically complex children which was featured in a Vancouver Sun article. My latest short film, “The Mess We’re In”, won the Best Film Award at MAMM17 and is currently making its way through the festival circuit, and finally, my most recent commercial project, “Sarah’s Story”, premiered in October 2023 for Carrier Sekani Family Services.
I aspire to tell universal stories that resonate with audiences from all walks of life, reminding us of our shared human experience. When the lights dim in the theatre, and the film begins, we no longer see our differences. Instead, we are captivated by the story unfolding on screen, and we are all connected by the emotions the film brings to life.
When I’m not working, you can find me relaxing at a cranberry farm in Muskoka or braving the -40 degree winters in Yellowknife. On less adventurous days, I enjoy frequenting the cinemas for both old and new movies, having board game nights with friends, and organizing my life on Notion. I’m currently in pre-production for a new short film and am also developing a script for my next project.
